Safety At HGC
Keeping our team, our partners and our clients safe on our jobsites is our main priority every day. Our goal is to send everyone home in the same condition in which they arrived.
HGC Empowered
In 2018, our employee-led Safety Steering Committee developed and introduced a new safety program called HGC Empowered. The mission is simple: "to develop a solid foundation of safety through an open-door policy and without fear of retribution."
Every teammate has stop work authority and is encouraged to ask questions and report concerns as soon as they arise. By creating a culture centered around safety, we are creating more ownership and developing each teammate into a safety advocate.

Every teammate at HGC has access to free, hands-on field training, instructor-led classroom training & simulator training led by our certified safety team.
Our industry-leading training combines best practices from the construction industry with all local, regional, state and federal requirements to ensure our team is equipped to handle safety concerns before they arrive on the job.
